The patient must drink a large quantity of water with the sample (at least 500mL). The patient must be physically active after drinking the water; they should walk, climb stairs, jump, etc., until they feel the need to urinate.

Sterile urine container / 24-hour urine container
The bladder must be completely emptied and all urine collected. A 24-hour urine container can be used.
